In 1917 Grandpa Joe Flamm & his wife Anna began making pickles for family and friends.  Before long the demand for their pickles blossomed and Flamm Pickle and Packing Company was born.  In 1962 Joseph’s son Seymour built a new production facility to manufacture pickle relish with his sister Harriett (one of the first women to graduate from Michigan State in Food Sciences) in charge of Quality.

The family-run business thrived and Flamm’s developed it’s niche manufacturing pickle relish for salad dressing manufacturers, meat packers and major food companies.  In 1991 Seymour passed away and his daughter Gina took over Flamm Pickle Company as President.  Gina continued her family’s valued legacy of quality products and excellent customer service – the foundation the company was built on.

In 2006 Dorothy Munao joined Flamm Pickle Company as Director of Operations.  Together, Gina and Dorothy focused on growing the business while maintaining the high standards their customers have come to expect.  Dorothy became President and Owner of Flamm Pickle and Packing Co., Inc. in 2021 to proudly continue the Flamm family legacy.  The business has grown over the years and now manufactures millions of pounds of pickle relish every year as an ingredient in the most delicious salad dressings and sauces – or even just by itself!

Throughout the years there have been changes but the desire and ability to produce the finest pickle relish for our valued customers will always remain constant.  Flamm Pickle Company has been on Hipps Hollow Road in Eau Claire, Michigan for over 100 years – an amazing accomplishment that we are very proud of.  We are grateful to all those that have made this possible and are looking forward to many, many more years.
